Thallus brownish to olive-green, lacking pseudocyphellae, corticate. Ascomata solitary, conical, erumpent from the substratum, exposed, the sides rarely covered by the thallus, c. 0.5–1.0 mm diam. Ascomatal wall lacking crystals, to 300 μm thick; ostiole apical, pale. Hamathecium inspersed with oil droplets, IKI+ blue. Ascospores 8 per ascus, regularly uniseriate, 3-septate, fusiform, with rounded or pointed ends, pale brown, 18–25 × 6–9 μm; lumina angular; terminal lumina separated from the exospore by an endospore layer; old ascospores constricted at the septa. CHEMISTRY: No substances detected. |

Occurs in eastern Qld, N.S.W. and Tas.; also on Norfolk Island. Pantropical to southern-temperate, mostly found in lowland forest. | ||
